The Cost of Expansion (Poem)

I had a dream,
Where the world was upon satellites.
Where everything you wished for,
Would appear upon earth.
And everything you wanted,
Was already in the other world.
I’m fuzzy on how,
You could get to the satellites.
I think you had,
To have someone connecting you to them.
Once you lost that,
You could no longer get it back.
The satellite world would be lightyears away.
Your loved ones would be gone forever.
You could never contact them again.
So you would have to forge a new life on earth.
With lots of wishes granted,
And without the ones you truly wanted.
And poof!
In a moment.
You would forget they ever existed.
